My second chance
How horrible it must be to be in a position worst then mine was. As I drove in the passenger seat staring out the window thinking of the worst possible situations in my head that could happen. It was a great summer day, the sun was at the highest point in the sky. I felt a startling pat on my shoulder from the driver, “Kevin” my sister asked “it’s okay” with a confident but worried voice “I know the principal he’s really nice” I kept my mouth shut. As we approached summit my sister already began to unbuckle her seat belt as if she was about to storm out of the car like a soldier running out of a WWII amphibious assault vehicle only there was a look of excitement on her face. As we pulled up I became sick. When we got out of the car I remember telling myself in a speechless thought “Kevin this is your last chance to graduate high school.” There was a sign above the door with a green man climbing a rock wall with the word Summit written in the wall. On the way up the stairs I tried to give myself confidence. I told myself remember, your doing this for your grandma! My grandma passed away from pancreatic cancer a year before. My sister lead me up the steep stairs witch kind of reminded me of the sign out side as if I was climbing a wall, a symbol , what could most hopefully become a sign of hope. After we got up the 2 sets of stairs my sister then lead me down a hall to a place she called “the family room” she opened the door and there sat a tons of strange multiple but the one I noticed most was the one my sister began to talk to. He was a man with the slight appearance of santa clause that gave me comfort but yet still on edge the feeling of sick had now left and in it’s place came a feeling of pain so bad I thought I would pass out under the immense pressure. “My brother would like to go to school here” my sister asked. While under the pressure I began to lose focus and all I could see was the santa like

You did awesome! I want to hear more about how that day went. My first day at Summit was actually kind of boring.. But great job and being so descriptive.
