My Essay About Safe Sex Ed.

I think if we were to have actual sex ed the rates of teen pregnancy and STD’s would go down significantly. The things that sex ed should cover are, knowing how to be safe, know were and how to get protection, why people should use protection, STD’s, why they should get tested, and teach the results of their actions.

We should teach protection to well be safe. Part of the reason I think STD’s are out of control because people don’t know the chances of getting STD’s or they don’t care. The youth that are experimenting and don’t know about berth control or that is no law that says you have to be a certain age to get condoms. If we were to teach about contraceptives in class that would help a lot with the teen pregnancy and STD’s.

Another thing we need to teach is that the results to their actions can really be life changing, and if they have certain viral diseases you can die. Well I guess that’s pretty life changing isn’t it. People think that if you use a condom you don’t have to worry about STD’s but you can still give your partner a STD’s even touching their skin. We need to stress on STD’s how they are transmited, and how they change peoples lives.

We need to teach that STD’s are dangerous and don’t just affect you. STD’s affect your partner, your loved ones, and even your own children. A lot of STD’s can be given to the featis if the mother has an STD. Now do you know that?

If people know only half of what could be tought and its not doing any good I think that we should teach everything that can teach. For the people that don’t agree with me I have one question for you. Would you rather have your children expiriment because their friends are…. Or expiriment with the nolage to be safe. You chose.
