On Wednesday I got to go to the play Romeo and Juliet. It was the first Shakespeare play that I have been too, so it was kind of confusing. Throughout the play I had to ask people what they were talking about and what was happening. My favorite character was Mercutio because he brought comedy to a tragedy. I was sad that he had to die so soon because he was hilarious.
Tonight I am going to the MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice concert. I’m excited
Even, though I didn’t ever listen too them, a lot of old people did and I get to see them dancing at the concert. Going to the concert is the only thing that I’m doing tonight and then tomorrow I have to work. It’s not going to be an exciting weekend, but I will still have fun.

Jealousy
It is strange how jealousy works. Even though you don’t really think your jealous it’s there in the back of your head. Now I’m not jealous of anything right at this moment I am sure! But after seeing someone in my last class almost explode on another girl it kind of made me ask why we get jealous… how do we over come jealousy? It’s in every human always there but yet it is hard to detect. The only way I have found it to have someone tell you. Like a sister, brother, a close friend, or any one extremely close to you who knows you like the back of their hand. I will admit though that it isn’t hard to tell if your jealous all you have to do is admit that you are. And that is the first step to getting yourself off the thought. This is an odd subject but I do believe jealousy is a large part of drama so that is why I decided to write about this.

Freedom is very important to some people. I wish I could have the freedom that other people have especially now that I’m stuck in states care. The freedom that I would like to have is to be able to walk down the road with a girl who I could be dating and be able to hold her hand without people looking at me weird because I feel like I have to hide things from other people and that isn’t right. Homosexual people are the most that have to hide things from people.

And apparently they can tell your case manager you were on drugs and you werent. And then when they test you and you come up negative they still think your on drugs so if you get the opprotunity to get out of states custody take it don’t stop and think about it just do it. So if you think your free your not free because anyone can say their free when their not so you might want to stop and think about the place your in and then decide whether your freedom is worth what you doing.

I have a new caseworker and I’m very happy about it. My last caseworker didn’t really care. He would never call and if he did it was for one out of two reasons. One, he was getting yelled at by my judge for not checking up on me, or because he forgot I had to sign a paper for him. I asked him to get me a bus pass so I could get back and forth from therapy and it took him literally four months to get it to me.

I think that freedom now is just a word for me because no matter where I am there are always going to be rules against what rights I am supposed to have as an American citizen. And I think that even though I am not locked up in d.t. or jail I still am not free because I can’t do whatever I want to do. Even though I am 18 years old that is just another number all that that means is I now will get tried as an adult and no longer as a juvenile the charges now will be taken more seriously. And I still have to answer to some one and have to ask to go places. I am no free but I am not locked up I am in between I don’t think I will ever be truly free until I am living on my own. Even then I still will have to follow other peoples rules they have set for America

Hamlets indecision is evident throughout the play. Give examples and explain how his indecisions effects his actions and the plot of the play.
Hamlet has lots of problems throughout the play because he dose not think before he acts. For example, after Hamlet dose not kill Claudius in the church he goes up to his mother’s room and starts to talk to her. Polonius was hiding behind the drapes without Hamlet knowing about him being there. When Polonius starts to yell out help Hamlet with out thinking starts to stab the drapes thinking that it was Claudius. After he finds out that it was now not who he thought it was his indecision acting makes Laertes go to Denmark from France to get revenge on who ever killed his father even though Hamlet did not kill him on perpous.
This starts a chain of events leading to Ophelia killing her self because she is confused, Gertrude being poisoned and Claudius killing himself due to pressure of other people telling him to drink the poison that killed Gertrude.
If Hamlet thought about what he was going to do more then I think maybe not as many people would have had to die.

Hamlet & Laertes
They both have love for the same women, for laertes its his sister, and for hamlet it’s his girlfriend Ophelia. They both want to see her with a happy life and not with the wrong people, laertes doesn’t want her to marry hamlet because he’s starting to go crazy, hamlet doesn’t want her to be with her brother because he’s going to make her break up with him and then she wouldn’t be happy and neither of them want that.
They both are very honorable toward their family, friends, and in their work. They would rather die than have their families be mad at them. They have the most respect for their countries and would do anything to help protect it
They also hate each other and cannot stand to be around each other. They also want to get revenge for their fathers deaths and are very determined to do so and will go to great lengths, like hamlet got two of his friends killed so he could come back and kill his uncle.
And in the end they were both crazy for revenge they both ended up dieing while fencing with poison on the rapier (sword) and his mom, and uncle died.

I believe that the moral for Hamlet is revenge gets you nowhere. My supporting subjects is Hamlet spent most of his time thinking about how he will get his revenge and it ended up taking his life. He also ended up getting people mad at him mostly the king. That just made the king want him to be killed and he also gets blamed for a death.
Hamlet gets killed for trying to get revenge for his father. So he wants to kill his uncle because he killed his father but he thinks too much about it when he could’ve done what Fortenbras did. I think he should have thought twice about because than he might have just decided to let him live.
Laertes also wanted to kill Hamlet because he blamed him for his sister’s death. Also he was responsible for his fathers death because Hamlet killed Laertes father because he just went and attacked the person behind the curtain because he thought it was the king.

This weekend should be pretty cool it’s my proctor mom’s birthday so we are going to go out to dinner. Next week is my 18th birthday I am way excited because I go to court the day before my birthday, and I might get released. I really hope that I get released on Thursday that way I can live one my own. If I get released then I am going to move into a house in Eagle Mountain, and I am going to be staying here to finish high school. After I graduate in March then I am going to just be working and going to collage at UVU. I want to go out into the social work field and become a case manager or a therapist or something like that. I am really looking forward to getting in collage and having a fun time going to collage.

I think the message of Hamlet is revenge and judgment. All of Hamlet’s time was focused on revenging his father’s death, which only led to his own death. He was depressed and in the wrong state of mind to make any rational decisions. When Hamlet was supposed to be focused on Ophelia all he could worry about was getting Claudius back for killing his father. If he had been more concerned about the things that were important at the time, he wouldn’t have lost all the people that he cared about.
When someone is betrayed by another person revenge sounds really sweet. Most people when their emotions are taking over their actions don’t make the right decisions. A person needs some time to think through and evaluate the outcome of the actions they want to take. Most of them don’t take the action that they were thinking about at the time the person betrayed them. The people that choose to take immediate action are the ones that are sitting in prison regretting what they did.
The comparison of Hamlet and everyday people is that everyone has the urge for revenge. Hamlet went psycho and took action to his temptation. If you let emotions overwhelmed you, you can loose everyone that is close to you. Hamlet’s love of his life, mother and best friends all died. Hamlet’s actions led him into his personal hell. I think that this tragedy is a lesson for everyone, don’t let you emotions take over you life. Just because you feel something and one point doesn’t mean that you are going to feel that way later. You don’t want your actions to be negative and ruin your life.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
Well my days been going good. A lot better than my other v-day. Like one v-day I brought a girl some flowers and some other things that you gives your girl for v-day. Well I gave her the stuff I got her, maybe two periods later she told me that she was playing me with this dude in high school. I wasn’t very happy about that so I told her to leave me alone and get out of my face. She told me that she really cared about me and didn’t want us to brake up than she stated crying. I told her to go @#&^*!, ^#*&(#*&$, #(&^!%$ her self, and walked away.
After that v-day I really didn’t like the holiday. I have had a couple more bad v-days but I really don’t want to talk about them.
This is one of the better v-days I’ve had in a while. I hope that they stay this good.

So, Valentine’s Day is coming up, and I dislike Valentine’s Day a lot. Well it’s ok. I have gotten dumped on Valentine’s Day a few times and I’m always alone, which now doesn’t really bother me because I’m used to being alone. I like the holiday because it’s the Day of Love, but because of my poor choices I can’t hang out with the girl that I really like.
I have some traditions of Valentine’s Day, my mom and I used to go out to eat to cheer me up because all my girlfriends just left me. Sometimes my mom and I would go to the store and buy the ingredients to make brownies. Then, we would go home and make the brownies and put it in a heart shaped pan.

There is always something to do on a Saturday night. My mom is really big into holidays so she always gets me the most random stuff just for fun. My Essay About Safe Sex Ed.
I think if we were to have actual sex ed the rates of teen pregnancy and STD’s would go down significantly. The things that sex ed should cover are, knowing how to be safe, know were and how to get protection, why people should use protection, STD’s, why they should get tested, and teach the results of their actions.
We should teach protection to well be safe. Part of the reason I think STD’s are out of control because people don’t know the chances of getting STD’s or they don’t care. The youth that are experimenting and don’t know about berth control or that is no law that says you have to be a certain age to get condoms. If we were to teach about contraceptives in class that would help a lot with the teen pregnancy and STD’s.
Another thing we need to teach is that the results to their actions can really be life changing, and if they have certain viral diseases you can die. Well I guess that’s pretty life changing isn’t it. People think that if you use a condom you don’t have to worry about STD’s but you can still give your partner a STD’s even touching their skin. We need to stress on STD’s how they are transmited, and how they change peoples lives.
We need to teach that STD’s are dangerous and don’t just affect you. STD’s affect your partner, your loved ones, and even your own children. A lot of STD’s can be given to the featis if the mother has an STD. Now do you know that?
If people know only half of what could be tought and its not doing any good I think that we should teach everything that can teach. For the people that don’t agree with me I have one question for you. Would you rather have your children expiriment because their friends are…. Or expiriment with the nolage to be safe. You chose.

The school bored is planning on changing the rule on cell phones in classes. I believe that they should be aloud in school.
Here are some of the reasons I believe that.
Teachers have them, so why not us students? I think its just fair.
It’s not fair because teachers can pull out a cell phone and the students can’t. The teachers use them the same as kids. Like some teachers take calls and text in class.
I also think that we need them for in case of emergency. What if your case manager needs to ask you something important and they don’t have your school number. It’s easier for them to leave you a message or text. That kind of thing.
What if someone in your family gets hurt or what if you feel very sick? Like what if your mom has to go to the doctor and has to tell you that she wont be at home? What if you get hurt and you need to call the ambulance? We need cell phone so we know that stuff.
Most phones have useful tools like a calculator, a calendar, and stuff like that. It also can help the students do better in school because of the ability to use the cell phone.
I have discussed the reasons that we need cell phones. I know there are bad things that go with it. However I also think the good out weigh the bad so I ask you to please allow cell phones

I am in favor of having music in class. I have several reasons for it and I will give a few.
First of all, I’m in favor of having music in class because it helps me and others to focus. For me it can be a lot easier to focus on my work if I am listening to music that I like. It somehow takes away all the other distractions that there is in a classroom. Music to me is just a way to be able to get away from distracting things and focus on certain matters.
Second, music is a way to relax. Most people listen to music and kick back. Slow music like oldies for example help me relax. It also helps me get away from all of my problems for a while and also to avoid getting into more trouble. I know it’s not like this just for me, I’m pretty sure that there is others that also do the same thing I do.
My third reason is that it also gives you something to do when you finish up an assignment early and you have nothing else to do. It would at least keep you busy. It would make it a lot easier for the teachers because they wouldn’t have to tell you what to do.

As a student I can understand if parents were to hear there child is being sexually harassed but to embarrassed or scared to tell anyone then this would be a problem solver for that situation. Parents are becoming to over protective over there children. This from my belief is what is causing the next pro to separation of genders.

With the technology today there are plenty ways student would find to get around the fact boy and girls can’t see each other at school. There is IM Myspace, Facebook and plenty of other ways to see each other.

I also think that music can also be more of a distraction for some people and they will not be able to pay attention to there work as good as if they did not listen to music.

Boys fight boys and girls fight girls. How do you think this will change if we segregate the schools to all girl and all boy schools? I am against putting girls and boys in different schools because they will break rules, they might end up not even going to school, and because of segregation.
First, I will be talking about how kids won’t even go to school. If kids don’t like the situation of school, then they will rebel and won’t go. Eventually a lot of kids will drop out, and they won’t graduate. If that happens, then the unemployment and homeless rate will go up. Kids will get F’s and eventually get kicked out of school. It will just be a waste of time and money to enroll these kids in school.
Second, I will be talking about how it will break the rules not just by legal but also religious rules. The suspension and expulsion rate will go up because after awhile they will just drop the kid’s names. Kids are smart these days, just like they were back in the day. They will end up finding a way to see the opposite sex while they are in school. They might even start liking the same sex, which would just cause most parents to rebel and take their kids out of school.
The last thing I will be talking about is segregation. Since the Civil Rights Movement in the 50’s segregation is against the law. Schools will get sued for having public schools separated by gender. It will cause fights. Like I said in the beginning boys fight boys and girls fight girls. Fighting is considered a crime and you can get changes against you and eventually end up having community service or even jail time. Segregating schools is unjust, kid’s hormones will be flying all over and a lot of students wont even try to control it.
So, finally as I come to the closing of my paper just remember that fighting is a crime and girls get sick of other girls and boys will end up fighting other boys. When students have music they keep their focus on what they want to do and they keep their concentration on their schoolwork. It can also be used to keep out all of the background noises. Me personally listen to music while doing everything and if I’m not than I’m not very focused and I get distracted by all the other noises around me. Like when someone is talking to someone you start listening to that you start doing what you shouldn’t be doing and you get in trouble. For some people they cant listen to music and work at the same time so I think we should be able to have music but at the same time make to where you can still hear the teacher.
