Swing Kids
This movie was very good. I liked this movie because it showed how the Jewish people had to go through a lot to get what they wanted. This movie showed youth that put themselves in danger to do what they loved doing. They overcame many challenges and adversity. When they were forced to join the Hitler Youth they did what they were told, but when they went back home they were their own people again. The town these kids lived in was like a prison for them because they were always being watched and they could not do anything without the other Hitler Youth knowing.

The kids showed that they are willing to go to any extent to do what they loved to do. Dancing was their hobbie. They would do it even though they knew that it could get them into trouble. This showed that the kids were very brave and were not going to quit doing what they do just for an organization. These kids all overcame many challenges like getting up and doing what they believed they had the right to do. When Peter and Thomas first joined the HJ they did not really like it. It wasn’t until they seen things through the Nazi’s perspective that they started to succeed in the HJ activities.

Even though the kids were involved in the HJ they were still going out and dancing in the clubs. They knew what their consequences would be but they did it anyway. Eventually they were caught but they always seemed to get out just before the HJ seen that it wan them dancing. At the end of the movie it shows Peter being taken away to a concentration camp because he was caught in the club dancing. This showed that he didn’t care what the HJ thought about dancing he was going to be a Swing Kid forever and he let them know that when he was put into the back of the truck.
