Narrative: Conclusion

My whole family and I were at the hospital waiting to see how she came out of the surgery. At first we did not know if she was going to get her hearing and her sight back, it was too early to tell. One thing that we thought we knew was that she was going be alright, so we thought. We were sitting in waiting room because there was only 1 person allowed in the I C U room at a time. That’s when we got the news, my mom was not recovering from the surgery and we did not know if she would. We waited for about two hours, then we got the worst news I have ever hears in my life. My mom was going to die, and there was nothing I could do. The worst part of it was that she could not talk and we did not know if she could tell if we were there with her or not. After my family and I talked about it for a while the doctor came and told us that she was going to be transferred to a new room were we could all be with her. We were with my mom for about two or three more hours, then we decided to go home and come back tomorrow.
My oldest sister and I got home at about 7:30 on January 9th 2006. we were home for about an hour when I got the call, My mom had passed away at 8:49 PM. I did not know what to do, we had a bunch of people come over and comfort us but it did not help. Then my grandparents showed up they were the only ones that could make me feel even the slightest better, I will never forget that day. .
