Narrative: Body Paragraphs

My mom was young, in college and having the time of her life. She was working a great job in a doctor’s office and loved every part of it. She met a very attractive guy that worked there and she thought she had fallen in love. My mom thought that their relationship was serious and that he was the one that she would marry. She believed that she could trust him, but that all changed when she found out that he was married. My mom left him but faced another challenge that would change her life forever.

When my mom found out that she was pregnant, she was single and very scared. She lived with roommates and had no clue what she would do with a kid. Her friends were very supportive and told her that they would help her out any way that they could. After I was finally born my mom couldn’t be any happier, but it was still hard for her to raise me by herself.

Soon after I was born, my mom met a night in shinning armor. She knew that Justin would be a great dad and a fantastic husband. They soon got married and of course I was the flower girl at the wedding. They moved into a cute little house and started a new family and a new life together. My mom and I were the happiest we could ever be.

After my sisters were born, my dad really wanted to get the papers signed so that I was legally his daughter. He had wanted to adopt me for a long time but he had many obstacles. He was diagnosed with cancer but fought if off after a year. Finally he was healthy and able to go to the courts.

I was young so I don’t remember much of the court process, but I’m sure that it was really long. We spent most of the morning signing papers and talking to people about the same thing over and over again. Finally they approved the request and I was legally my dad’s daughter. After we were done at the courthouse, my parents took me to breakfast. The one thing that I vividly remember about the whole day was having the most delicious chocolate milk in the entire world. My parents and I were so happy and we have been ever since.
